COMPACT PICOSECOND DIODE LASERS

This article presents the electrical circuit, a description of design, and results measurements radiative watt–ampere time characteristics compact inexpensive emitters based on commercial laser diodes with wavelengths from 405 to 850 nm, which operate in picosecond (70–180 ps) nanosecond (0.69–1.2 ns) modes. The optical emitter includes master crystal oscillator microcontroller (frequencies 76 Hz–20/80 MHz), synchronization low-voltage (9–12 V) subnanosecond electric pulse shaper that operates according method double differentiation, pump circuit an adjustable direct current source, diode. average light power at frequency 80 MHz varies pico mode 0.6 1.6 mW nano 6 18 mW. lasers are powered by 220 V/12 V, 0.25 A serial supply, consumption 3 W weight 0.2 kg.
